In Department 4, students commence the journey towards their post school lives. Managed Individual Pathway plans are formulated with students and families, to assist them in planning their future direction. Students identify likes and dislikes, along with strengths and interests to ensure the correct pathway is being travelled.
The learning programs in Department 4 are based on the Victorian Essential Learning Standards and the Certificate 1 in Transition Education ensuring the needs of all students are accommodated. Independence and functional communication skills are a strong component of all programs. Students participate in a wide variety of school based and external programs, from community access programs, supported work experience, through to TAFE options
Department 4 completes the culmination of thirteen years of schooling, and is celebrated by an official graduation ceremony for all students who turn eighteen in their final school year. Bulleen Heights School supports all students in finding a post school placement that assists them to continue to learn and grow.
