The camps’ program provides an alternative learning environment for students to participate in a range of outdoor activities, experience success, develop independence skills and have fun. Camps can range from an overnight stay at Yungaburra – our house on the school grounds, progressing to school camps at Garfield North, Blackwood and adventure camps at Rubicon Outdoor Centre. Our students also use a range of other accredited campsites.
Our outdoor education programs aim to extend and challenge our students in a range of environments as well as develop self esteem, team work and leadership skills. Some of the activities on offer include: bush cooking, mountain bike riding, canoeing, surfing, snow experience, cross country skiing, high ropes and rock climbing. |
