OUR RAINBOW DREAM AIM
The "major fundraising" sub-committee of school council is referred to as the Rainbow Dream Team (RDT) and is made up of a dedicated group of parent and staff volunteers whose aim is to develop and further enhance the facilities and resources available at Bulleen Heights School (BHS) for all the children, staff and families.
The current RDT members are as follows:
Angela Vasiljev, Anita O'Flynn, Audrey Brewis, Bronwyn Garita, Carolyn Sroczynski, Cindy Bunton, Jacqui Higgs, Karen Campbell, Kathy Havers, Linda Sbisa, Rita Werden, Rose Walthers, Simmone Dyson Holland and Susan Merjan.
We wish to thank and acknowledge two mothers in particular, Cindy Bunton & Linda Sbisa, whose children no longer attend BHS but who are still committed to our cause.
Our first project is a purpose built library to meet the special needs of our students. BHS currently does not have a library on site.
RAINBOW DREAM UPDATE
The RDT members are very proud and delighted to confirm that with the amazing support of our families, friends and colleagues at two hugely successful Gala Balls in 2007 and 2009 we have been able to raise over $134,000.00 to date.
In July 2010, we were further elated when we were advised that BHS had been granted the much needed funds to make our Rainbow Dream for a school library come true under Round 3 of the National Schools Pride Funding - an outstanding Federal Labor Government initiative. Building is scheduled to commence in September 2009 and we can't wait to see the children, staff and families enjoy their new library.
Future major fundraising projects in line with our Rainbow Dream aim will be determined through consultation with the school community. Other great suggestions for major fundraising include a pool, school hall, new buses and so on.
Please now consider Bulleen Heights, a small school with a big vision, as a worthy recipient of your support.
HOW TO MAKE A DONATION TO KEEP OUR RAINBOW DREAM ALIVE
Rainbow Dream Donations- a seven ‘colours of the rainbow’ tiered donation arrangement was developed to acknowledge amounts between $500- $10,000. Donors are recognised in a number of different ways throughout the school community, including acknowledgement on the ‘Rainbow Dream Donor Board’ in the school reception area. Please refer to our Donor's page for a list of our wonderful Donors.

If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please complete the attached Rainbow Dream donation form. General donations of any kind or level would be gratefully received as any contribution helps towards achieving our goal.
In extending this opportunity, we respectfully recognise that many parents and supporters of BHS make significant contributions to the community in a variety of different ways and we are extremely grateful for their support.

THE RAINBOW LOGO
The Rainbow Dream theme and logo has been chosen for all of the Rainbow Dream fundraising projects as the rainbow shape reflects the wide and diverse spectrum of our children's special learning needs and the rainbow's vibrant colours emerging from the clouds represent our hope and strong wish for a bright, happy and fulfilling future for them all.
With our very kind regards,
Rainbow Dream Team
